Luen Thai Footwear Increases Its Capabilities
July 2008, China -- Luen Thai Footwear (LTFW) has now opened a new production building in their Quanzhou factory. The building contains a total of 4 flexible assembly lines. This facility opened in September 2007 and enables LTFW to speed up their lead time.
In addition to this new facility, LTFW now has on-site printing, washing and embroidery capabilities. These advancements allow LTFW to provide a more comprehensive service to their customers.
LTFW has production facilities in Quanzhou, as well as a research and development center within Luen Thai’s Supply Chain City in Dongguan. LTFW is continually improving itself as a world class supplier in the footwear industry.
New Product Development Center Launched
June 30, 2006, China --To enhance competitive edge and provide better value-added services to customers, Luen Thai Footwear Co., Ltd. has just finished building the new Product Development center in Quanzhou, China.
The ground floor of building no. 3 houses the new showroom measuring 210 sq.m. The showroom's decoration was completed on April 15. The operations office and the workshops for cutting and sewing have been completed this month as well as the finishing workshop on the 3rd floor, which has an area of 1,586 sq.m.
The company is also planning to install more equipment, including 100 sewing machines, one finishing line, two cutting machines, and four shoe-hole punchers. These additional investments into the facilities will no doubt strengthen collaboration with customers and other business partners.
Quanzhou Facility Sees Increased Efficiency
June 18, 2006, China --In the last 9 months, Luen Thai has been implementing reforms in its operations to efficiently deliver its value proposition to customers. The latest process benefiting from this organization-wide initiative is the production division based in Quanzhou, China. The improvements cover manufacturing processes from production planning and control, material consumption control, cutting, stitching, assembly and finishing. The initiative also called for updating machineries and skills. Additional equipment was also recently added.
Before the reforms, the Quanzhou facility can produce 150,000 to 200,000 pairs a month of in-house vulcanized products. Today, the monthly capacity is about 300,000 pairs.
Our customer base includes prestigious brand names based in US, Europe, and Japan such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Land’s End, Skechers, J. Crew, Von Dutch, Bass, Buster Brown, Keds, Reebok, Adio, Naturalizer, Dr. Scholls, Ellesse, Speedo and Pony among others.
The company received the ISO 9001 certificate for its quality management system, and passed ISO 9001:2000 as a manufacturer or vulcanized shoes.
